Wanda joined the Gateway Financial team in 1984 and has dedicated her entire professional career to serving the firm and its valued clients. With her extensive industry experience, exceptional attention to detail, and adept number–crunching skills, Wanda fulfills a multifaceted role at Gateway, contributing as a policy performance analyst, bookkeeper, and human resources point of contact.

As a policy performance analyst, Wanda prepares periodic Policy Benchmark Reports for in–force portfolios, tracking premium payments, monitoring changes in post–issue pricing elements, illustrating policy performance under various cash value rate and dividend scale scenarios, and reporting on any shifts in the carrier’s financial strength ratings.

Wanda plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and proper administration of newly issued insurance policies. She meticulously reviews each policy to verify correct names, ages, underwriting classifications, product details, ownership/beneficiary designations, and premium amounts. For 1035 exchange policies, Wanda further validates that the basis of the exchanged policy is accurately credited to the newly issued policy. Recognizing the importance of premium timing on policy performance, she also compares the actual cash value rollover timing to the projections on the “as issued” policy illustration.

Wanda is responsible for thoroughly checking each Policy Documentation Package provided to clients and their advisors. This comprehensive package includes an overview of the policy purpose and mechanics, “as issued” performance projections, a one–page policy summary, the actual policy document, and relevant supplementary agreements and carrier financial ratings.

Beyond her policy–focused duties, Wanda oversees the firm’s accounting system, helps coordinate the firm’s employee benefits package, and manages the firm’s payroll.

Wanda resides in Canonsburg, PA. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family as well as a wide range of physical activities, including working out at the gym, walking, hiking, bicycling and is an avid reader and music lover.
