Oakes joined the Gateway Financial team in 2019. As a Relationship Manager, his responsibility is to arm professional advisors and the ultra-affluent with resources necessary to make informed decisions as it relates to life insurance. Such resources include goals and objective needs assessment, in-depth product analysis, proprietary research, development of intellectual capital, insurance opportunity training for advisors, and team collaborating. Oakes is a team player and helps the marketing team with their many responsibilities to the areas they serve. In his marketing capacity, he travels across the country with the executive team to provide our colleagues and clients the white-glove service Gateway promises and delivers upon. Oakes also works alongside the case design team in regard to designing and implementing appropriate insurance solutions as well as providing extraordinary service. Previously, Oakes spent 5 years as a financial advisor at Northwestern Mutual.

Oakes resides in Pittsburgh and Ligonier, PA. He loves to play golf, hunt, eat, sit by a campfire, and spend time with his friends and family. When Oakes is not working, you will find him with his other half Madison, their goofy dog Stanley, and a cold beverage in hand. Fun Fact: Oakes is the oldest of 8 siblings.
